KUTXA

There are times when a design ideas arise from a conversation and there are others when a very specific need drives a project. In this case, it was a sketch that arose somewhat unexpectedly that aroused our interest. In that sketch, the idea of a box suspended inside a very simple, architectural structure was already apparent.

The development of Kutxa was extended over time and was a collaboration with Treku in which little by little each of the details that make up the collection were defined. The concept of contrasts between elements was there from the beginning but the materials, details, thicknesses, proportions, etc. came out very gradually.

All the pieces that make up the collection have a degree of sculpturality. The idea was to be able to create calmer and more cared-for spaces and not so much an approach to optimising storage.
